Sherry Turkle
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sherry Turkle is currently a Social Studies of Science and Technology professor at MIT. She received her BA and PhD from Harvard University, and has been authoring books about the psychology of human relationships with technology since 1984. Her more widely known books include Life on the Screen: Identity in the Age of the Internet, The Second Self: Computers and the Human Mind, and Alone Together. In the world of digital culture, Dr. Turkle is highly regarded as a media commentator, contributing or featured in periodical articles and giving presentations and interviews about the dynamics, politics, benefits, and dangers of evolving human technology use in the 21st century.
